Lu believes that the most captivating abstract creations come from a deep appreciation for and observation of the genuine, tangible details of everyday life.

My father was a big man. He loved biking, traveling, and swimming in the brightest sunlight. In his later years, he spent more time walking along the foot of the mountain and tending to his garden. It was there we planned our future travels. In June of last year, we visited Osaka—one of the last destinations we shared before the next promised trip.
In his final days, I began to re-examine his belongings, retracing the silent echoes of his past. Our twenty-seven years together have since transformed, evolving into a lifelong dialogue—a search for closeness that I will carry with me for the rest of my journey.
